Hirax

Hirax is a thrash metal band from Orange County, fronted by vocalist Katon W. De Peña, and its current run is short but has character. The catalogue lists two dates: Tijuana in October 2026 and Long Beach in November 2026, the latter billed as the first show there in 10 years. This is a gig for people who grew up on eighties thrash and want to see a group that played Los Angeles and San Francisco alongside Metallica, Exodus and Slayer. For younger listeners it works as a hands-on lesson in crossover thrash. When buying, start with distance: one date is in Mexico and the other in the United States, three weeks apart, and there is no reason to leave it to the last minute if you want a good spot.
