GRAVITY FREEZE is Little Barrie’s sixth studio album and the first released solely under the band’s own name since the death of drummer Virgil Howe in September 2017. The album follows more than two decades of activity that have established the band as a key force in UK psychedelic rock and soul. Following Howe’s passing, bandleader Barrie Cadogan and founding bassist Lewis Wharton placed the future of the band on hold. After initial plans to resume playing were disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the pair began collaborating with long-time friend Malcolm Catto (The Heliocentrics). This partnership resulted in two joint albums: Quatermass Seven (2020) and Electric War, released on Easy Eye Sound in April 2025.

The GoAllConcerts take
Little Barrie formed in Nottingham in 2000 and reaches 2026 with an unusually steady release pace: Instafuzz in 2024, Electric War in 2025 and Gravity Freeze in 2026. That matters live, because this indie rock band arrives with recent material and not just a look back. The tour has 22 dates between October and December 2026, across the United States, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Spain. It opens in Cambridge on 23 October 2026. It suits anyone who likes guitar music played by a full band and wants to see a veteran act while it is still busy. When buying, compare cities: the schedule lists twelve, from Brooklyn and Chicago to Vienna, Munich and Leipzig, so pick the closest one early.
