The Format in Pittsburgh, United States 2026

The Format is an indie rock band formed in 2002 by Nate Ruess and Sam Means, and seeing them on a stage again feels like a rare appointment. The group announced an indefinite break on 4 February 2008, so every show they play carries extra weight. Our catalogue lists a single date, 8 November 2026 in Los Angeles, as part of the Dog Problems anniversary show alongside Jimmy Eat World, which also marks Bleed American. It suits anyone who grew up with Arizona indie rock and wants two bands from that era in one night. When buying, remember this is a shared bill, so the lineup and set times matter more than the venue name. If you live far from California, check flights early, because there are no other dates to fall back on.

Stage AE is a complex in Pittsburgh, at 400 North Shore Drive, with three independent spaces: a music hall, a club and an outdoor amphitheater. That makes it a good fit for anyone who wants to pick the scale of their night. It has a reversible stage and is modeled after Express Live! in Columbus. Our listings show 11 concerts between October and December 2026, with acts that have little in common: Taylor Dayne on 17 October, Sleeping With Sirens on 27 October, and Gym Class Heroes and Lupe Fiasco on 14 November. It suits people who want a wide range of styles in one place. When you buy, check which of the three spaces hosts each date.
