# About María Rentería
María Rentería has covered live music for the Latin-speaking world for the last twelve years. She started writing concert previews for student newspapers in Madrid in 2014, joined the team at Mondo Sonoro covering Spanish festivals in 2017, and freelanced for Rolling Stone en Español and Billboard Argentina from 2020 to 2025 before becoming Senior Live Music Editor at Goall Concerts.
She has attended more than 280 shows in person across 14 countries — from arena tours by Bad Bunny and Karol G to underground reggaeton showcases in Medellín — and is the byline behind some of the most-read live music analysis pieces in Spanish-language press during the 2024 and 2025 stadium tour boom.
María is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and reads conversational Italian and Catalan. She holds a degree in Music Journalism from the Escuela de Periodismo de la UAM in Madrid (2014).

How María sources
María cross-references every tour date she covers with at least two independent sources: the official artist channel, the venue's own confirmation, and the primary ticket marketplace (Ticketmaster or Live Nation). For pricing and capacity numbers, she verifies against the venue's published technical specs. She does not publish hearsay; if a rumor cannot be confirmed she labels it as such.
